Nomination of referees for the Women's World Championship in FRA

The IHF Executive has ratified recommendations from the Rules and Referees Commission regarding nominations of referees for the Women's WCh in France in December.  As was the case for the Men's World Championship, a key component is a training and selection camp that this time will be held August 22-26 in connection with the traditional high-level women's tournament in Bad Urach.

It has been agreed that 5 referee couples who were in the Men's WCh in Germany will also be refereeing in the Women's WCh.  These couples have received a final and direct nomination for the WCh, following their performances in Germany, without having to participate in the selection camp.  These referee couples are:

SLO Krstic/Ljubic

In addition 17 couples have been nominated for the selection/training camp, competing for the remaining 13 places in the total field of 18.  Moreover, in the case of the non-European continents, specific reserve couples are kept in mind without training camp participation, on the basis of recently demonstrated performance.  The 17 couples for the training camp are the following:
